The Parklane development was completed as a two-stage, 4 level CLT/ GLULAM project consisting of 80 apartments. Tricon was engaged by the Arvida group early on in the design phase to supply draft methodologies, cost estimates, time frames, and risk assessment to construct the CLT/ Glulam structure.
700 cross laminated timber (CLT panels) were installed for this project. The stairs were installed as each level was erected, allowing easy internal access for trades during construction. Extreme care was taken to protect visual grade walls and showcase the natural aesthetics of the materials. During manufacture, dowel plates were fitted to the top edge of the CLT walls which meant minimal spax screws were required to fix walls in place.
